Groton Pacific Carriers Inc. was established in 1975 and since then has been providing professional and responsible commercial services to a select group of ship owners.
Our commitment has always been to ensure quality service. To achieve this commitment we maintain personal attention to investors requirements, performing all fiduciary functions for owners and process charterers requests promptly and efficiently. This commitment sets Groton apart from alternate service providers.
Over the year the consolidation of tanker operators has created large scale ship management firms. These firms can not provide personal service adequately to their clients and their customers due to their size. We are convinced that an efficient and responsive “boutique” management company effectively competes and outperforms the larger ship managers. Our success is based on our long-term relationships with ship owners, oil companies, traders, and a worldwide network of brokers.
Our reputation has been established in the market by our diligent performance for over 30 years of our outlined commitment to quality. All the vessel's under our operation are properly maintained and the company's goals are outlined clearly to all personnel. Groton's diligence comes from its work force. Frequent vessel visitation ensures that the company's goals are being met and that its standards are not compromised as well as offering an opportunity to receive feedback from crew personnel.
Since our vessels call in ports all over the world we have found it necessary to include an extra level of quality assurance. Our clients currently include government agencies, major oil companies and large oil traders.
Groton has a long history of partnerships with individuals, public companies, and investment funds. Over the years Groton has had partnerships with OSG, I.M. Skaugen, Teekay,Diogenes (a Lehman Fund), a well known West Coast Fund, and several seasoned shipping investors.
